Ms. Kalpana Palkhiwala, a Rtd. Govt. officials composed an Album of 108 songs on Mahatma Gandhi written in 14 languages of India including Urdu, Hindi, Sindhi, Kashmiri, etc.
Talking to Siasat, she said that she had started this project in 1990. The songs of this Album could be heard on the occasions of Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday on 2nd October and his death anniversary on 30th January on Radio and TV. The DVDs of this Music Album contains a program of 14 hours and 30 minutes which includes the songs of 104 poets. 7 Music Director have composed Music. Mr. Uma Shanker Chandola, Chief Composer of Music told that certain portions of the songs were very difficult.
