Mr. Mohammed Ahmed father of slain under trial prisoner, Viqar Ahmed appeared before the investigating officer and ACP of Madhapur, Mr. Ramana Kumar and recorded his statement. It is reported that in his statement he told that his son, Viqar Ahmed was killed in a fake encounter. He also mentioned that he had made a written complaint to Chief Justice of Hyderabad High and Human Rights Commission, in which he had mentioned that the life of his son is in danger. He had also requested the authorities a day before the murder of his son to shift him from Warangal Jail to Hyderabad Jail but no decision was taken on his petition. He told the SIT officer that the way in which postmortems of his son Viqar Ahmed and others was done is very suspicious. His son and other prisoners were shot dead despite the fact that they were handcuffed. He mentioned that he lodged a complaint in Alair Police Station against the Warangal Reserve Police Party in which he has demanded to register a murder case under section 302 of IPC against the erring police officials.
It may be mentioned that Govt. of Telangana constituted Special Investigation Team under the stewardship of Mr. Sandeep Shandalia to probe Alair encounter. SIT initiated investigations a month back.
