A public meeting to probe Alair encounter will be conducted at 11 a.m. on 8th May at Tehsil Office Alair. This was expressed by Mr. Venkatachari, RDO of Nalgonda who is the investigating officer.
It may be noted that in a police encounter on 7th April Mr. Uday Bhaskar, Reserve Sub-Inspector of Warangal registered a complaint in Alair police station that during the transit from Warangal to Hyderabad, Viqar made an attempt to snatch police riffle and fired at the policemen. In turn, police party opened fire and all the five under trial prisoners who were being taken to Nampally Criminal Court, Hyderabad were killed. If anybody has any information about these killings, he may appear before the investigating officer to record his statement.
