New Delhi: Hundreds of Hajj aspirants have alleged that they were cheated by the owners of Al- Sufyan Overseas Tours and Travels Mohammed Shahid and Imran. They claim that the travel agency owners went absconding with crores of rupees overnight. It is said that they have switched off all their phones and their residence at Mustafa Abad is also locked.
15 people of Ghaziabad have registered complaint in this regard and requested immediate arrest of the travel agency owners. Some had given money for Hajj while others had given money to go to Umrah in November.
Zaheer Ahmed of Ghaziabad told that 15 people had deposited 10 lakh for going to Umrah of which 7 had also submitted their passports.
Some of the victims of fraud had deposited 20 lakhs. Some people told that the agency had committed similar fraud in 2015 as well. At that time their office was at Mustafa Abad later they establish their office at Yamna Vihar.
