Mumbai, June 17: They shared a great chemistry in Hulchul and also star together in the forthcoming comedy, Short Kut – The Con Is On. But we hear that Akshaye Khanna and Arshad Warsi can’t stand each other. The animosity was evident during a recent film awards event.
A source said, “During the awards, while Arshad walked the ramp on the title track of Short Kut, Akshaye said he was too unwell to attend the event. Next day, Akshaye attended the film’s press conference but this time it was Arshad who said he was unwell. They refuse to be seen together on the same platform.”
Anil Kapoor, producer of Short Kut, said, “I don’t think there is any problem between them. It’s true they could not be on the same platform but I believe it’s a co-incidence. Arshad didn’t attend the press conference because he had a migraine attack. I had spoken to both of them and they won’t lie to me.”
According to our source, the standoff started ever since they worked together in Hulchul. “Akshaye was a favourite on the sets and Arshad hated this. The same thing was repeated during Short Kut.”
However, Arshad Warsi said, “It’s not true at all.”
