Akshay Kumar and Saina Nehwal receive threats from Maoists for helping families of slain CRPF jawans

Maoists threatened Badminton Champion, Saina Nehwal and famous Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar for helping the families of 12 CRPF jawans who were killed in an attack on 11th March in Chhattisgarh.

According to the news published in Hindustan Times, Maoists issued warning to Akshay Kumar and Saina Nehwal against helping security forces which they alleged are anti-poor.

It may be mentioned that noted Bollywood Actor, Akshay Kumar had donated Rs. 9 lakh each to the families of 12 CRPF jawans who were killed in an ambush with Maoists in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh while Saina Nehwal also donated Rs. 6 lakh to the families of the victims.

A Pamphlet issued by CPI (Maoist) Bastar South Sub-Zonal Bureau strongly condemned the gestures of Akshay and Saina, Hindustan Times reports.

Maoist appealed the celebrities to support their movement and asked them to raise their voice against human rights violations and police atrocities.

Condemning cow vigilantes, the Maoist said that under the pretext of cow protection, they are killing innocent Muslims and Dalits.

Commenting on the pamphlet, Special DG of Chhattisgarh, DM Awasthi said that it reflects their ideology.
