Mumbai, November 16: Actor Akshay Kumar has been nominated India’s ambassador to the 2010 Olympic games in Canada.
He is the only actor in the list of prominent torch-bearers from across the world. Only 14 international celebrities have been invited for the Olympic torch relay in Vancouver.
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper today introduced Akshay as the sole torch-bearer from India for the Olympics at an event here. Akshay will run with the torch on December 17, a press release issued by Canada Tourism Commission said.
