Only those nations remain alive which donot forget the heritage of their ancestors. Deccan Region possesses the history of two thousand years. Passing through various monarchies, it reached its zenith during the Qutub Shahi period. The fourth emperor of its dynasty laid the foundation for the city of Hyderabad. For more than four hundred years, Hyderabad has a rich tradition of its Culture, Civilization which is our valuable heritage. It is our responsibility to preserve it.
Expressing these thoughts, Allama Ajaz Farukh told that the City of Hyderabad is unique in the architectural designs of its historical monuments. It is the representative of the dreams of the inhabitants of this city, which are as beautiful and colourful as its multifarious civilization. Mr. Ajaz Farukh told that the album which contains 613 photographs is the starting point for the erstwhile Hyderabad. Its travel is quite elaborate. It has been divided into 16 chapters which include Golconda, the city of Pearls, Flood of Musi River of 1908 Means of Transportation, Weddings, Song and Dance, Coins, Currency Notes, Postal Stamps, Ornaments and Garments, Style of living of the people etc. An attempt has been made in this album to preserve all these items.
Allama Ajaz Farukh told that he has many such things which he wants to pass on to the younger generation. He declared Siasat as his second house and said that due to the companionship of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, many of his works came to limelight. He possessed all these treasures with him but the encouragement of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan gave him a new strength. He desired the younger generation to preserve the heritage of their ancestors.
The function to release the album “Aks-e-Hyderabad (Image of Hyderabad) will be held under the Chairmanship of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan at 6 pm today at Indira Priyadarshini Hall, Public Garden. Nawab Shah Alam Khan, will release this album. Mr. Ibrahim Bin Abdullah Masquathi, MLC will be the guest of honour.
The other guests of honour include Prof. Syeda Jafer and Prof. Syed Rahmath Yousufzai, Mr. Aslam Farshorie will conduct the function.
