Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today had a dig at Congress saying the party which got the country its Independence is today taking the help of poll strategist Prashant Kishore for the next Assembly elections.
“The party which claims that it got the country its Independence is today taking help of a PR agency,” Yadav said while speaking on the budget of the home and general administration in the Assembly.
Yadav, however, took no name and was apparently speaking of Congress party availing the services of Prashant Kishore who had earlier managed the poll campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitesh Kumar earlier.
Kishore had recently met Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and other senior party leaders in New Delhi. He is scheduled to attend a meeting of district, city unit presidents, state unit vice presidents and general secretaries at a meeting in Lucknow on March 10.
