Akhilesh supports KCR on Federal Front proposal

Hyderabad: Samajwadi Party chief and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today appreciated efforts of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for unification of regional parties for his non-Congress and non-BJP Federal Front against at the Centre.

Talking to mediapersons today, Akhilesh Yadav said he would soon meet with KCR in Hyderabad and talk on the future plans of Federal Front. It is likely that Akhilesh will meet the TRS president in Hyderabad on January 6. KCR has been trying for months for federal front to unite the regional parties. “I will soon meet the Chief Minister KCR”, Akhilesh said.

It may be mentioned here that KCR is on a nation-wide tour and called on his Odisha counterpart Navin Patnaik and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benerjee and also with former Prime Minister Deve Gowda, Karnataka Chief Minister Kumara Swamy, Leader of Opposition of Tamil Nadu Stalin and others.

Akhilesh Yadav told mediapersons that efforts were on for the last several months to bring all parties together. He congratulated Chandrashekhar Rao for initiating efforts in this direction. He maintained that Chandrashekhar Rao was trying to bring together a federal front and that he would travel to Hyderabad in the first week of January to meet him and discuss the issue. The Telangana Chief Minister is currently camping in Delhi and is expected to meet BSP leader Mayawati too.
