Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Sudhindra Bhadoria on Tuesday lashed out at the Samajwadi Party (SP) Government in Uttar Pradesh over the increase in crime rate, saying the latter have been very desensitised to the issues of women, the Dalits and poor of all class, communities and religion.
“2012 was a very tragic year. It ended with the gang-rape in Delhi, and now we see in Uttar Pradesh in the district of Hathras a girl is there who has 90 percent of burns because one of the boy acted like a criminal and acted in the most animal manner. Therefore, what I would like to say is that the Government of Uttar Pradesh is failing since the day they have come to power,” said Bhadoria.
“They have been very desensitised to the issues of women, the Dalits and poor of all class, communities and religion. The Government of Uttar Pradesh is not serious about the law and order. And therefore, we see the growing crime rate in UP and more particularly towards women,” he added.
A girl was set on fire allegedly by her stalker in Sasni area of Uttar Pradesh”s Hathras district last night. The accused, a native of the same village, had been stalking her for some time due to which she had stopped going to college.
The girl, who sustained ninety percent burns, was rushed to the district hospital from where she was referred to Aligarh Medical College.
