Ranga Reddy district court issued arrest warrant against MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi for choosing to ignore summons in a case against him for his hate speech.
It may be recalled that cases were registered against Akbar in several courts of the state as well as Delhi and Bangaluru, for his hate speech. A case was also registered against him in the RR district court. However, Akbar chose to ignore the summons of the court. The judge took the negligence seriously and issued non-bailable warrant against him on Tuesday. It is learnt that the Cyberabad police are preparing to arrest him.
The Court adjourned the trial of the case to May 8. It may be recalled that Akbaruddin Owaisi obtained bail from the Adilabad court in connection with his communal remarks case. (NSS)
