Akbaruddin Owaisi Attack Case: All seized articles shifted to Forensic Lab

Hyderabad: The hearing of Akbaruddin Owaisi Attack Case is continuing in the court. Mr. G. Guru Murthy, Advocate interrogated M. Srinivas Rao, the investigating officer. Mr. Rao told that on the advice of Mr. A.K. Khan, the then Commissioner of Police, the case was shifted from Chandrayangutta Police Station to Central Crime Station.

He admitted that he had started investigations afresh after registering the case again. He also said that in 2011, there was Congress Govt. He is not aware that Congress Govt. had entered into an agreement with MIM to share the post of Mayor of GHMC as a result of which Ms. Kartika Reddy and Mr. M.A. Majid became Mayors. He denied the fact that under the influence of Akbaruddin Owaisi, the then Commissioner of Police, Mr. A.K. Khan kept the case registered in CCS secret.

He informed that after he started investigations, he went to Marhaba Hotel, Barkas and inspected the spot. He also recorded the statements of certain witnesses. He said that Ray ban goggles, cover of the gun, mobile phone cover and the garments of the injured persons were shifted to State Forensic Laboratory. On 1st May, 2011, he went to Owaisi Hospital and recorded the statements of the witnesses who were in a position to speak. He also went to Yashoda Hospital where the doctors informed him that the surgery of the injured persons is in progress. He arrested two accused on 13th May when they were discharged from hospital. After the investigations, he came to know that Ibrahim bin Younus Yafai was killed with the 9 mm pistol of Jani Miyan, the gunman. The case was adjourned till 28th April.
