MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Wednesday approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking relief from being subjected to numerous cases in different courts for his alleged hate speech.
The High Court has posted the case for next hearing during next week.
It may be mentioned that different cases have been registered against Akbaruddin Owaisi in Nirmal, Nizambad, Osmania University PS, Bengaluru, Delhi and other places for making alleged hate speech. He was arrested by the Adilabad Police on January 8 and he also faced investigation by Nizamabad Police. Both the Adilabad and Nizamabad courts have granted him bail on February 15 and he was released from Adilabad District Jail on February 16.
However, the Anantapur Police and Osmania University Police were gearing up to arrest the MIM leader for different cases registered against him in their jurisdictions. Therefore, Akbaruddin Owaisi moved the High Court seeking relief.
