New Delhi: While BJP is politicizing the issue of Ram temple, the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) is indulging in politics of polarization by raking up Babri Masjid issue. After the rhetoric against Kapil Sibal and Congress, MIM has now inadvertently made an attack on Muslim Personal Law Board.
Addressing an election meeting, Akbaruddin Owaisi, younger brother of party Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has claimed that he has given 1.62 Cr rupees to Muslim Personal Law Board. The video is fast making rounds on social media.
As reported by Inquilab, while the Muslim Personal Law Board has expressed anger over his statement, the Congress has questioned that, how can a political party give a donation in religious affairs and why the announcement has been made during elections?
According to Akbaruddin Owaisi, he has given money to Muslim Personal Law Board to follow up Babri Masjid case.
General Secretary of Muslim Personal Law Board Maulana Vali Rahmani has expressed anger over Akbar’s statement. National spokesman of Congress M Afzal has also reacted strongly and said any political party cannot give fund for religious affairs; it is unconstitutional. He said such type of statements are being given to create hatred among majority community against Muslims.
