The MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi has met the GHMC Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy along with a team on the development of Hyderabad Old City here on Friday. He suggested the commissioner to complete the works of Charminar Pedestrian Project as soon as possible and make the Charminar surroundings available to the tourists.
He also asked the Commissioner to shift the businessmen on to a special bridge to be constructed on Musi river opposite Salarjung museum. It will help in creating rehabilitation to the businessmen of Charminar surroundings, he said and opined that the new bridge will allow to set up night bazaar. He asked the Commissioner to extend the length of flyover of the Chandrayanagutta and urged the latter to develop the Murgi Chowk and Clock Tower in full pledged manner.
The MLA and Commissioner reviewed the works of Metro Rail works at Old City also. Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy, GHMC, HMR senior officials participated in the meeting. (NSS)
