Akbar lynching: human rights activists protest at Bikaner House

Rajasthan: Demanding justice for lynching victim who was beaten to death in Alwar district of Rajasthan by gau rakshaks, hundreds of human rights activists staged protests at Bikaner House located at India Gate circle. They shouted slogans and demanded resignation from Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje and home minister Gulab Singh Kataria.

32-year-old Akbar Khan was lynched on the suspicion of cow smuggling by gau rakshaks. Police shifted the cows to gaushala before shifting Akbar Khan to the hospital.

The protest was called by an NGO United Against Hate. The protestors held Rajasthan’s Vasundhara Raje government totally responsible for the incidents and also lashed out Narendra Modi’s government at the centre. They also hit out at BJP and RSS holding them responsible for the minorities’ killings in Rajasthan during the past two years.
