The Sangareddy Court on Friday adjourned the next hearing to February 22 in a case registered against MIM leaders in April 2005 for allegedly abusing the then District Collector.
MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and party’s floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Friday appeared before the Sangareddy Court in connection with the case. The Owaisi brothers, along with other MIM leaders, are accused of abusing the then Medak District Collector AK Singhal during a protest against the demolition of a mosque in Matangi of Patencheru mandal. While Asaduddin Owaisi went to the court from Hyderabad, Akbaruddin Owaisi was shifted amid tight security from the Adilabad District Jail, where he is lodged in connection with an alleged hate speech case registered against him by the Nirmal Police.
Both, Asaduddin and Akbaruddin Owaisi already got bail in the Sangareddy case. (INN)
