Congratulating the TRS Government and Opposition parties in the House for conducting the Telangana Legislative Assembly business successfully after 20 years, MIM Floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has found fault with the government for tabling the CAG report on the last day of the budget session.
Participating in the discussion on Appropriation Bill on the last day of the budget session in Telangana Legislative Assembly here on Thursday, Owaisi hoped the Government would place the CAG report two days before the conclusion of budget session. Reiterating his doubts on budget figures, Akbaruddin questioned the Government as to how it will mobilize funds. He also expressed his objection on criticizing Seemandhra again and again, Owaisi said the Telangana leaders also have to own the responsibility equally with the Seemandhra leaders on the backwardness of Telangana. “Everywhere good and bad people exist”, he said. He also suggested to the Government to infuse confidence among the non-local people living in Hyderabad that the government would treat them on par with the local people.
Intervening, IT Minister K T Ramarao said the government was not showing any discrimination towards non-local people and it clearly tells if one examines the incidents against them. Resuming his speech, Akbaruddin said the Government has to look after the issue of guest houses to the Hajis of Telangana in Makka. Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali said the Government will certainly look after the issue.
On the issue of sports stadiums in the State, Sports Minister Padmarao said the scheme was introduced by the Centre and not yet launched anywhere across the country. On the issue of traffic jams in the City, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the Chief Minister prepared a master plan on traffic jams and roads. (NSS)
