Mumbai, April 27: In the backdrop of an affidavit filed in Bombay HC claiming of his involvement in the Adarsh Society scandal, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar dismissed reports linking him and his acquaintances as beneficiaries of the scam.
According to the affidavit filed by former journalist Ketan Tirodkar, two Pune-based applicants of Adarsh Housing Society in their verification form, mentioned the same residential address as given by Ajit Pawar’s wife in an application she filed before a civil court in Pune in 2009.
Ajit Pawar’s wife, Sunetra, in an application before a civil court in a property dispute, had given her residential address as Jijai, Yashwant Ghatge Nagar Society, University Road, Pune.
The same address had been mentioned by two applicants of Adarsh society -Jayashree Bhosale and Nivruti Ganpati Bhosale–in an undertaking, the affidavit claimed.
