Vijay Kumar who went to a book shop to purchase books for Excise Inspector’s examination. Rajasekhara Reddy (MBA) Harish (Engineering) Swapna (Engineering) and Ajaz Ahmed (B.Tech) were the students who died in Dilsukhnagar bomb blasts.
Bomb blasts occurred in the densely populated area of Dilsukhnagar. Bombs were tied to bicycles near Konarak and Venkatadari theatres. These theatres are located on one side of the Hyderabad and Vijayawada National Highway. This is the area from which of buses of all the bus depots pass through.
This area is full of educational institutions. It is one of the largest business centers of the city. In 2002, two persons were killed in a bomb blast near Sai baba temple.
