Mumbai: With Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s appointment as goodwill ambassador of the Indian contingent for the 2016 Summer Olympic to be held in Rio de Janeiro, the other Bollywood stars has divided up on the issue.
While BJP MP Hema Malini, on Monday, extended support to actor Salman Khan, there is a buzz going round that someone has started an online petition on Change.org, urging Salman to be banned from being the Goodwill ambassador. But to a surprise the person who started the petition against Salman Khan happens to be Aishwarya Rai and it was an utter case of co-incidence.
In the petition, she has mentioned that appointing Bollywood actor Salman Khan as a goodwill ambassador for the 2016 Rio Olympics for the Indian contingent is a regressive move and reflects negatively on India. She also gave different reasons the actor is a serial woman hater/abuser, he is known to have abused many women in the last 25 years.
However it is not known for sure whether it is the actress herself who has begun this petition, or interestingly, a person who is former Miss World’s namesake.
