On the representation made by Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah, Minister for Minorities Welfare. Govt. of AP the management of GMR agreed to erect tents on the occasion of Fridays to facilitate the Muslims to offer prayers in airport premises.
Mr. Ahmedullah had invited the attention of airport authorities in this connection that the Muslims offer Friday prayers in hot sunlight. Mr. Ahmedullah also spoke to Mr. Prasanna, CEO of the airport. He has agreed to erect tents on Fridays. It may be noted that many Muslim passengers come to airport but there is no facility for them to offer prayers.
