Aircel to expand its 3G network mode in Kolkata

Kolkata, Sept 30: To offer customers seamless connectivity in Kolkata, Aircel, one of India’s leading innovative telecom service providers, today announced an aggressive expansion plan to create a robust 3G network in the city.

As a young data led telecom player, Aircel will add close to 350 new 3G sites by end 2015. The expansion will welcome more than two lakh customers to the Aircel family, enabling them to enjoy a data speed of up to 21 Mbps.

To usher in the festive season, Aircel launched its special 3G data recharge of Rs. 175 that would offer customers assured free benefits such as talk time of Rs. 100, 200 minutes of Aircel to Aircel calling, 250 local SMS, 500 MB 3G data or extra validity of 30 days during the upcoming Durga Puja.

Sanjeev Garg, Business Head, Aircel in an interview said, “The population of 3G users that looks for an uninterrupted experience is dramatically increasing, especially as mobile handsets are increasingly being used for varied purposes. We have been working tirelessly to live up to this expectation of our customers and hence, we’ve redoubled our efforts in expanding our 3G network all across Kolkata.”

With the addition of the new 3G sites, Aircel will have more than 4000 sites in the city and the expansion will fuel the constantly growing subscriber base of the company.
