A Canadian startup ‘Vitality Air’ has come up with a solution for Chinese citizens that have been blanketed in thick smog recently.
Opened last year in Edmonton, Canada, the compamy sells fresh air from the Rocky Mountains.
Because Beijing flagged red-alert of smog, the sales of air bottles have soared and therefore the company began selling its product in China last month and within two weeks sold 500 bottles.
Co-founder Moses Lam told The Telegraph, “Our first shipment of 500 bottles of fresh air were sold in four days.”
It sold for “less than 50 pence.” The next bag, however, sold for £105, or $160.
“That’s when we realised there is a market for this,” Lam said.
Reportedly, a crate of 4,000 bottles has been sent to China and most of it has already been sold out.
