Air India to resume Chicago flights from today

Mumbai, April 19: National air-carrier Air India said it will resume its flights from and to Chicago from today after the disruption of services in the past few days in to Europe and the US due to volcanic ashes from Iceland that made air-traffic impossible in European airspace.

AI 126 D (Chicago-Mumbai) is scheduled to depart from Chicago (ORD) at 4 pm (local time) and arrive in Mumbai on April 20 at 8.30 pm IST, a press release issed here said.

On the same day, AI 144 D (Newark-Ahmedabad) will depart from Newark at 2 pm (local time) and arrive Ahmedabad on April 20 at 5 pm IST, the release said.

On April 20, AI 127/126 (Mumbai-Chicago-Mumbai) will be operated, with a technical halt in Cairo on both outbound and inbound routes. The flight will depart Mumbai at 1.05 am IST and reach Chicago at 12.25 pm (local time).
