Air India Pilot leaves passengers stranded at Jaipur airport

Jaipur: An Air India pilot refusing to fly plane beyond his duty hours has left 44 passengers stranded at the Jaipur Airport.

The Pilot reportedly refused the airline officials to fly the plane as it was beyond his duty hours which resulted in taking the passengers to Delhi via road. Some of the passengers choose to stay in Hotels while others left.

Speaking about it an Air India official said, “The pilot cannot exceed duty hours for safety reasons as per the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) norms.”

However, now questions are arising that why pilots are assigned with additional duties if they are not allowed to take flights beyond their duty hours.
