AIR FM channel to cover Karimnagar now

Hyderabad, January 13:Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated a 102.3 MH 14th FM Radio Station for Karimnagar district as a `Sankranti’ gift at All India Radio Station in Hyderabad.

Inaugurating the FM station, the Chief Minister said the radio will manage to retain its own identity despite various advanced technologies available globally.

Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy expressed optimism that the FM radio channel would provide entertainment and relay informative programmes to the people of the district.

The FM radio station would cover a radius of 40 km of the district. The Chief Minister stated that he is keen to see that the AIR increases the coverage area so that the FM radio channel could cover the entire district soon.

Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar said the district would benefit largely with the launching of FM radio station. He also welcomed the channel and said that the people can enjoy the variety of entertainment and informative programmes besides information which are aired on the channel.

Information and Public Relations Minister DK Aruna, Minister Mukesh Goud, Karimnagar district in-Charge Doddila Sridhar Babu, MP G Vivek, senior BJP leader Ch Vidyasagar Rao and AIR Chief Engineer, R Vidyasagar Rao participated in the programme. (INN)
