Ailing literary exponent gets Rs 3 lakh from KTR

In yet another move of extending succor to the needy, IT and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao today offered financial assistance and also health expenditure to a literary man suffering from paralysis attack for quite some time.

On finding the pathetic condition of Chaitanya Prakash, a poet and noted story writer, who was living in a shed at Siricilla, the Minister asked his office to extend Rs 3 lakh and steps to provide necessary health services to cure his paralysis problem. The State Government also released his book comprising 6,000 Telangana proverbs and idioms during the recently-held World Telugu Conference in Hyderabad.

Hailing from Mustabad mandal, Chaitanya Prakash was admitted to Apollo Hospital recently and was discharged for using medicines to cure paralysis. Along with his old age mother and sister, Prakash is facing problem to make both ends meet under a shed of a friend in Siricilla, which is the segment of KTR. Moved at his condition, KT Rama Rao as usual rang up to his office and directed the officials to provide Prakash financial assistance on April 23.
A release from KTR Office said that Chaitanya Prakash has been in the literary field for the past 25 years and took ill in February last. During his two and half years of span of literary work Prakash published several novels, three books, anthology of poems and other noted works so far.
The literary exponent has penchant for social justice and with left oriented ideology has been noted for works with a focus on village words lacking usage, old culture, traditions of villages, dialect and living styles of the poor and others. Officials from KTR office are expected to offer Rs 3 lakh to Chaitanya Prakash on Monday and take steps for health services and likely to announce a double bedroom house. Prakash mother Yellamma extended thanks to the minister for his gesture, while literary experts also appreciated KTR. (NSS)
