AIIMS nurses are also subject to domestic violence

A study conducted by Kamlesh Kumari Sharma and Manju Vatsa of the AIIMS College of Nursing covering nurses at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) found that domestic violence by husbands continues to be the most common form of violence against women.

It also concluded that Physical and sexual violence not only affects the nurses’ physical and mental health but also their overall well-being.

Shockingly being slapped was found to be the most common act of physical violence. Not only this 18.86 per cent nurses were physically abused (kicked and beaten) while pregnant.
