Hyderabad: The experts of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) said that the final decision on conducting surgery to separate conjoined twins Vaani and Veena would be taken only after conducting necessary tests.
A team of AIIMS doctors visited the Niloufer Hospital and reviewed the condition of Vaani-Veena. They said that twins could be separated through five surgeries. However, the surgeries could be done only after conducting necessary tests at AIIMS. They said both the twins are healthy, active and intelligence. They said other experts would be consulted before conducting the surgeries. The twins have turned 12 and they have been staying at Niloufer Hospital for the last few years.
It may be mentioned that the Telangana Government has agreed to bear total expenses of surgery of Vaani and Veena. (INN)
