New Delhi [India]: To celebrate the nomadic spirit, fashion designer Aneeth Arora showcased ‘Pero’, his latest collection, on Day two of Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2017.

The show took place off-site at the National Crafts Museum where comfy outfits in various colours as well as patterns like pinstripes, checks and floral designs were presented.

“For fall-winter 2017, I decided to open my travel journals and re-visit all those places that I had travelled to and recorded/documented all my memories and everything that inspired me,” said Aneeth in the press release.

“This season we have incorporated a mix of elements from China and Latin America (Peru, Mexico and Guatemala),” read the release.

Taking place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Day two of the fashion gala also saw designer Samant Chauhan’s collection which brought back childhood memories by showcasing his collection at the National Rail Museum. The highlight was creations in Muga silk.

The HUEMN AW17 collection celebrated diversity and inclusion and was influenced by the socio-economic and political ambience of our times which is far from ideal.

Romancing with intense florals, fashion designer Anupama Dayal, in her collection, brought to life the sacred forest of Mangur village. Small elements like pom poms, self-crafted butterfly clips and hangings complimented the layers of skirts, dresses and tunics.

Heamnt & Nandita’s collection showcased voluminous dresses wrapped up in the bold silhouettes of jackets, overcoats and metallics exhibited the exuberance of the perfect amalgam of power and volume.

Vineet Bahl’s ‘CODE’ conveyed understated drama for the urban woman. Replete with elements of boho-luxe and layering, CODE was designed in all organic fabrics such as tussar, jute and suede.

Pankaj and Nidhi’s cool Telefunk line was a celebration of monochromatic palette of black and white ensembles. Fabrics like mesh, waffle and honeycomb jerseys served as a canvas to meticulously detailed embroidery.

Vaani Kapoor turned showstopper for Rina Dhaka’s collection which depicted women, who are not afraid to take risks. The collection had a floral inspired vintage vibe, drawing inspirations from the contemptuous nature with florals and a romantic amendment of sparkles. (ANI)
