New Delhi: The Apex Court will be hearing the plea filed by All India Football Federation (AIFF) challenging Delhi High Court’s order setting aside the election of NCP leader Praful Patel as its Federation on this Friday.
A bench headed by Justice J. Chelameswar on Wednesday has directed to list the matter on 10 November after AIFF counsel Amit Anand Tiwari has applied for an early hearing.
Earlier, the Delhi High Court on 31 October 31 had set aside the election of Patel and appointed former Chief Election Commissioner S.Y. Quraishi as the AIFF administrator.
Tiwari appearing for the council had told the Supreme Court the AIFF would not be able to bid for the hosting of U-20 FIFA tournament if the Delhi High Court’s order was not set aside.
