AIFF names 24 probables for Olympic qualifier camp

New Delhi, February 10: The All India Football Federation today named 24 probables for a six-day national camp in Pune for the Pre-Olympic qualifier against Myanmar later this month.

All the 24 members except for four are from the new I-League side Indian Arrows, a side floated by the AIFF and mix of national Under 19 and Under 23 players.

Churchill Brothers goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya, Mohun Bagan defender N Mohanraj, East Bengal defender Nirmal Chhetri and his club mate striker Robin Singh were the four players not in the Indian Arrows.

All the 24 players are below 23 years of age. Three above 23 players can be named in a country’s squad in the Olympics.

The camp will start on February 17 and the final squad of 18 will be named later.
