Nagaon (Assam), March 25: The All India Democratic United Front (AIDUF) today filed a defamation case against Assam minister Rockybul Hussain for terming the party president as a “criminal” in a local newspaper.
In the case filed at the court of the Nagaon civil judge, AIUDF president and MP Baduruddin Ajmal claimed damage of Rs 110 crore from Hussain for alleging in a local newspaper that he was a “criminal”.
Separate cases were filed against the editor and reporter of the newspaper.
Hussain has filed nomination from the Samuguri Assembly constituency.
