APCC Chief N Raghuveera Reddy today said AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and Congress Prime Ministerial Candidate Rahul Gandhi will address a series of public meetings in Andhra Pradesh. In the run-up to the General Elections in the wake of State bifurcation, the AICC top brass is expected to campaign in Seemandhra from April last week to May first week.
Talking to media persons, Raghuveera Reddy said Sonia Gandhi and Rahul would campaign in Guntur, Visakhapatnam and Anantapur from April 27 to May 5, just two days before the elections in the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. Arrangements for the campaign are being made, he said.
Stating that the elections are being held between rich and poor people, he alleged that some leaders spent crores to purchase tickets. He said he would take credit for victory or defeat post general elections. As the candidates are buying tickets, there is nothing wrong in the parties luring voters with money, Raghuveera Reddy said, adding that political parties have turned out to be business houses.
