Bangalore, March 08: To mark the International Women’s Day, national carrier Air India today operated two all-women crew flights, one each to Mumbai and Delhi from Bangalore International Airport.
In the morning, Bangalore-Mumbai flight IC 106 had Captain Sangeetha Bangar in command while Captain Pallavi was the co-pilot, the cabin crew were Nitisha, Meherewanji, Keren and Susheela, a release said.
In the evening, Bangalore-Delhi flight IC 903 was piloted by Captain Priya with Captain Niranjana as co-pilot. The cabin crew were Easwari, Kaplana, Lipika and Sonia.
Both the flights were operated by the latest fly-by-wire Airbus A 319 aircraft which have joined the Air India fleet recently, it said.
Across its wide network, the AI operated a record 22 all-women crew flights today to mark the occasion, the release said.
