New Delhi, September 10: Air India, the official carrier for the Commonwealth Games next month, has kept around 2,500 seats for the athletes and delegates flying on its scheduled flights from various participating countries.
“Air India as the official partner for the 19th Commonwealth Games being held at Delhi from 3rd to 14th October, expects nearly 2500 athletes and delegates to fly into Delhi on the scheduled flights from various commonwealth countries,” an Air India spokesperson said.
The airline has made exclusive arrangements to facilitate the athletes and delegates.
“Standard operating procedures have been put in place for ground handling activities needed for smooth travel of the athletes, their registered baggage and sports equipment.
Training programmes have been conducted for the front-line employees in various locations,” he said.
