AI to fly Indian Cricket team

Chennai, September 09: Jet Airways loss has been Air India’s gain as it came to the rescue of the Indian cricket team. India’s national carrier will fly the Indian Cricket team for its upcoming matches in Sri Lanka and will be plying special flights between Chennai-Bangalore-Colombo.

However common passengers are not so lucky. Jet pilots continue their strike for the second day on Wednesday. As many as 66 flights have been reportedly cancelled today. Jet has also cancelled its flights between India and UAE. However, flights to Europe, UK and North America are on schedule, as of now. The Jet management had fired three more pilots on Tuesday.

Speaking to a TV channel, Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal said that disciplinary action will be taken against the striking pilots.
