AI announces additional direct flight to Hyderabad

AIR INDIA Western Region Manager Noor Mohammed was felicitated by top Saudi businessmen at the Jeddah Diwaniyah. Noor Mohammed has done yeoman service for the Indian Hajis and was praised and appreciated at the well-attended function by Saudis.

Hussam Al Kahtani, praised the contribution of Noor Mohammed and introduced him to the gathering. “Saudi Businessmen are really delighted to have Noor among them. And I assure their support to Air India for its growth in the Kingdom,”he said.

Introducing Noor Mohammed, Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, general secretary of Indian Youth Welfare Association (IYWA), too praised his services and contribution for Saudi and Indian community. He also said that in the recent community meeting at CGI premises with Minister of State for External Affairs Gen. Dr. V.K. Singh, both Consul General. B.S. Mubarak and Gen. Singh commended Air India’s Haj operation 2015 as excellent. He praised the airline for their services without even a single disruption.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Faisal A. Alsaddik, executive chief commercial affairs, Saudi Private Aviation said that India and Saudi Arabia have a long history of cultural, business and brotherly relations.

He said the Indian culture and people have a special place in the hearts and mind of Saudi community. He enjoyed the company of the Noor Mohammed of Air India and said that it was indeed a pleasure to be with such an honored guest.

Noor Mohammed said India’s national carrier Air India has announced additional flights to Hyderabad from Jeddah. “A new service, in addition to twice weekly flights, is being introduced from the Summer schedule’,” said Air India’s manager. “Now Jeddah will be directly connected to Hyderabad on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. On return direction the flights will be operated on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. The departure times are very convenient for both cities, which are Jeddah and Hyderabad at 2315 and 1755 respectively,” he added.

Mohammed Viqar Ahmed, president of Telangana Youth Welfare Association thanked Noor Mohammed & Air India mnagement for their kind gesture for Telangana community by introducing additional direct flight to Hyderabad.
Prominent dignitaries like Consul General of UAE Hazza Al Mansoor, GCC Country Manager, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, Sultan A. Al Mansoori, Mohammed H. Zahoor, Abdul Rahman Omar Badraiq, Faisal Bajaber, Dr. Ramadan Suleiman Kurdi, Jasim Alshammary attended the felicitation function along with vice-consuls of Consulate General of India Anoop Singh and Rajbir Singh.

A large number of Saudi business community members and eminent social figures along with representatives of IYWA, Telangana Youth Welfare Association, Hyderabad Young Men’s Association and Telugu Academy were also present.
