As the holy month of Ramzan beginning shortly, Minister for Minority Welfare and Wakfs Syed Mohammad Ahamadullah visited the historic Mecca Masjid in the Old City of Hyderabad on Thursday.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Ahamadullah said that he has sanctioned Rs one crore for the development of the mosque following a representation submitted to him last year. With this amount, the mosque management would procure water cleaning machinery for Water House, vacuum cleaners and repairs to the underground water tank in the masjid.
Ahamadullah also said that the government would release Rs 36 lakhs for development of Mecca Masjid and Shaji masjid at Nampally.MIM MLA from Charminar Ahmed Pasha Quadri, GHMC Special Commissioner Navin Mittal
and other officials accompanied the minister.
