An agriculturist was arrested on Thursday on the charges of raping a student by promising to marry her.
A 20-year B Com student, in her complaint, alleged that the accused, K Venkatesh, 22, of Kondurg, raped her several times on the promise of marrying her. Based on the complaint, a case was registered against Venkatesh and he was arrested on Thursday from Kondurg village of Mahaboobnagar District. Amberpet police said.
While the accused was sent to the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology of Osmania General Hospital for potency and other tests, the victim girl was also sent for medical examinations. Further investigations are on. (INN)
