A three-day’Agri & Horticulture and Dairy and Processing India Expo 2012′ will be held here from March 24, Expo Chief Executive M A Nazeer said today. Addressing a press conference here, he said the main objective of the expo was to bring awareness among farmers on better farming practices and various products, technology and services available to get better yield and results in the sectors. Companies dealing with manufacture of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, equipment and machinery, milking machines would display their products and services in the expo he said. Mr Nazzer also Editor of Agri Seeds Fortune said the expo was also a wonderful opportunity for prospective buyers and sellers in the sectors to meet under one roof.
The expo would also help farmers, technicians, dealers and other stakeholders to update themselves and exchange of ideas in different segments of the sector, he said. As many as 7,000 to 8,000 farmers were expected to participate across the country in expo is being organized by NRS Publications, publishers of Seeds Fortune, Hyderabad-based national English magazine on agriculture, he said. Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture and Agriculture Technology Mission would be the Chief Guest, while Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries and Veterinary Universities P Viswarup would preside over the inaugural function.
