Agni-V missile test postponed for Thursday

The first test-firing of India’s indigenous intercontinental ballistic missile Agni-V has been postponed for Thursday due to adverse weather conditions, a defence ministry spokesperson said Wednesday.

The 5,000 km-range missile was scheduled for launch Wednesday from Wheelers’ Island off the coast in Odisha’s Bhadrak district.

“It has been postponed until tomorrow (Thursday),” defence ministry spokesperson Sitanshu Kar told IANS.
