Age-old rivalry led to murder of man at Bahadurpura

Syed Nisar Husain alias Asad, 40, of Hasannagar, was hacked to death by a group of persons at Mir Alam Tank in Bahadurpura on Monday. Nisar who was a driver by occupation was going on a two wheeler when the assailants waylaid and attacked him with swords near Dannama Huts on SVP National Police Academy road. He sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

The incident created panic in the area. On receipt of information, Bahadurpura police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital.

Charminar Assistant Commissioner of Police said that the murder could be the result of age-old rivalry. Nisar’s family members have lodged complaint against rowdy sheeter of Rajendranagar Murtuza Pahelwan and his gang.

According to police in 2010, Nisar’s elder brother Jaffar Husain was killed at Himayatsagar, allegedly by Murtuza Pahelwan and his associates. Jaffar was allegedly involved in the murder of Haji, a close associate of Murtuza.

In retaliation to the killing of Jaffar, his elder brother Hyder Husain and his associates allegedly murdered Mohammed. Sohail who was the prime accused in the murder of Jaffar. The gang members lured Sohail to King Kothi Hospital and attacked him inside the hospital compound, the police said.
