The newly formed Telangana State announced its Class 10 results (SSC) on Sunday. While Warangal district stood top with 91.6 percent passes, Adilabad district remained at the bottom with 54.9 percent passes. The total pass percentage was 77.5 percent.
Deputy Chief Minister with Education portfolio Kadiam Srihari released the results in the Secretariat today. Once again, girls overshadowed boys by achieving 79.04 pass percent and boys lagged behind with 76.11 percent passes. However, 28 schools have registered zero result.
Speaking on the occasion, Kadiam Srihari said Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Board will conduct advanced supplementary examination from June 18 to July 2. The last date for paying examination fee is May 30. The headmasters of the respective schools have to deposit examination fee in the banks. The interested students, who wanted to apply for re-valuation of their papers have to pay fee within 12 hours after the results announced. Application forms should be downloaded from www.bsetelangana.org. Filled-in applications must be submitted in the counters set up by the District Education Officer. Re-valuation fee for each subject is Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 for re-counting for each subject.
The Deputy Chief Minister warned the private school managements of stern action as per law if they gave advertisements on ranks in televisions and newspapers. He said private students have achieved 54.13 percent of result in the examination. In private examinations, girls achieved 60.32 percent and boys 51.17 percent result out of 54.13 percent. (NSS)
