After washed out Monsoon Session, NDA holds a save democracy march

New Delhi, Aug. 13 : After a complete wash out of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, NDA lawmakers on Thursday, took out a “Save Democracy” march against the opposition, holding the latter responsible for what they called a wasted session.

With Parliament adjourned sine die, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi accused the NDA regime of ‘saffronising’ all institutions of the country at the behest of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

The Monsoon Session of Parliament was marred by repeated adjournments. A relentless Congress continuously demanded the resignations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and the chief ministers of Rajasthan (Vasundhara Raje) and Madhya Pradesh (Shivraj Singh Chouhan).

The government had hoped to use the Monsoon Session to pass the GST Bill, but failed to do so. (ANI)
