Raipur: Irked with the barking, BJP leader and Janpad Panchayat vice president of Pandaria town in Chhattisgarh shot dead four stray dogs.
They take the life of dogs just because they started barking on them because of loud music being played in the car.
After Shaktiman, this is the second case of brutality against animals by the BJP leaders.
According to Times of India reports, eye witnesses said the 3 youths in a Maruti van shot a stray dog. The same Maruti van also stopped near a river bank in Golhapara basti, where three other dogs were shot dead. Bodies of the dogs were recovered by the villagers and informed the police the next morning.
The bullets recovered after the autopsy was traced back to licenced revolver of Janpad Panchyat vice president of Pandaria, Pragyesh Tiwari.
28-year-old Praygesh Tiwari was detained and his maruti van was also seize. An FIR against animals under section 11 (D) of Prevention of cruelty to animals Act 1960 and Arms Act 1959 has been lodged.
