Mumbai, July 10: Arrested Pakistani gunman Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab today requested the special court for an envelope to write a letter to an unspecified recipient in Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Towards the end of court proceedings the gunman, accused in 26/11 terror strikes, stood in the dock and told the court, “Sir mujhe ek lifafa chahiye. (Sir, I want an envelope)”.
When Special Judge M L Tahaliyani asked Kasab why he wanted the envelope, he replied, “I want to write a letter.”
Kasab said he wanted to write a letter to Saudi Arabia and when asked by the court if there were any relatives, he replied he did not know anyone there.
“Kisi ko to likhna hoga (I want to write to somebody),” he shrugged and told the court.
