After a lull, Revanth roars against Harish again

Hyderabad: TPCC working president A. Revanth Reddy, who remained silent ever since he lost the election from his Kodangal Assembly constituency, has opened his mouth on Monday. He made some sensational comments against TRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao.

Revanth Reddy said that Harish Rao wouldn’t be inducted into the State cabinet by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during Tuesday’s cabinet expansion. He said the reason behind Harish missing the cabinet berth as the latter had committed several irregularities in the execution of irrigation projects without the knowledge of the Chief Minister.

In an informal chat with media persons on Monday, Revanth Reddy alleged that Harish Rao took Rs 1,000 crore as bribes in the mid-Manair, Gourelli and Thotapally irrigation projects. He also alleged that Harish gave contracts to his benamis and pocketed all the money. He also alleged that Harish Rao gave money to 30 MLA-contestants during the recent Assembly elections, including 26 from the ruling TRS. He also alleged that some Congress leaders didn’t take money from Harish although the former irrigation minister made the offer. He also alleged that Harish Rao also spoke to BJP national president Amit Shah without the knowledge of CM KCR. He said four former ministers, including Harish and Tummala Nageswar Rao would not get cabinet berths on Tuesday’s cabinet expansion.
Revanth Reddy further alleged that Tummala was denied cabinet post as he addressed KTR, son of the CM as Ramu. He alleged that the CM was ready to indict Harish Rao in a passport case if the later revolted against him.
Revanth also talked bout the recent Assembly Elections and alleged that the police department ensured that votes were polled in ruling TRS’ favor and added that it was the main reason for their defeat. He said that 60percent of the Sarpanches won in his Kodangal Constituency were the supporters of the Congress Party. He said that they were discussing about the defeat of the party internally.

Commenting on former deputy chief minister Kadiyam Srihari, Revanth termed the senior politician as honest and questioned CM KCR as to why he was not being given cabinet berth. He said there was no minister from Madiga community in the State cabinet. He alleged that the CM had also kept aside senior leader Nayini Narasimha Reddy. Revanth predicted that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections might be postponed. Alleging that KCR did not pay tributes to the soldiers, who lost life in Pulwama attack, he termed it unfortunate while noting that the CM had time to pay tributes to mother of Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy but not the martyred soldiers.
